Glasschem was established in 1991 by Sarel Rautenbach with the aim to provide wet chemistry solutions to industry as well as produce standard glass items.

Adelab has now decided to pass on the distribution rights to their product range Rowe Scientific Pty LTD. Effective as of 1st December 2018.

After representing Filtech and then Glasschem in the Australian market for the last 18 years for their range of Aspiration Sulphur,VA Stills & OH Stills we have decided to pass on the distribution rights to their product range Rowe Scientific Pty LTD.


This change is effective as of 1st December 2018.


Rowe Scientific is a respected entity in the field of winery supplies and is well qualified to look after your needs going forwards. Rowe Scientific have offices in each of the mainland states and you will have a local Account Manager responsible for your account who should be your first point of call.

  • GlassChem are well known in Australia for their Sulphur Dioxide and Volatile Acid stills, but they also manufacture stills for the determination of the alcohol content in wines. Important Note: Please read distribution changes below.

  • GlassChem’s SO2 stills were designed to provide a sulfur analysis in wine and grape juices by the aspiration method. The design criteria was to follow the traditional Rankine method with an instrument that was user-friendly and eliminated the common errors found in conventional stills. Important Note: Please read distributor changes below.

  • GlassChems VA stills are designed to determine the amount of volatile acid present in wine measured as grams per liter. Steam distillation is used to separate the volatile acids from the non volatile components in the wine. Important Note: Please read distributor changes below.
